The job market is slowly coming around and while the openings are not nearly as numerous as a few years ago we're seeing a steady increase in available positions.

We are cautiously optimism for the job market for the remaining year and are starting to hear projections for staff increases in 2011.  it's a perfect time to update your resume, brush up your interviewing skills and get your career on track.  

We are seeing the market for temporary employees, or candidates willing to work temp to perm improve significantly.  If you are between jobs, a temp to perm situation gives you an opportunity to earn some income, prove yourself, and to get a feel for a new Firm before committing to permanent employment.  There is an emerging market for temporary employees at all levels and in every job catagory.

    Senior Administrate Assistant, Floater
     
    Responsibilities:
     
    Chief Responsibility is to provide support for Management Committee Members’ Assistants or coverage for them in their absence. Day to day responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
     
    -         Scheduling of conference rooms on Executive floors
    -         Provide telephone coverage – answer phones, take accurate messages, know manager(s) whereabouts at all times, handle urgent calls with appropriate judgment
    -          Handle business travel – book travel arrangements, coordinate out-of-town meeting schedule, prepare travel & expense reports
    -          Maintain executive files – correspondence files, document files, personal office files
    -          Handle executive paper mail – pre-sort & prioritize, respond to simple, immediate requests
    -          Typing/document preparation – prepare documents utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (letters, agendas, schedules, presentations)
    -          Management of supplies for the Executive floor
    -         Extensive use of outlook for scheduling Management Committee appointments
    -         Using PowerPoint (basic skills, not graphs etc.)
    -         Manage moves to and from the floor
    -         Personal errands

  • Requirements:
     
    -          Five plus years Executive Administrative Assistant experience
    -          Ability to quickly adapt to various Management Committee Members and their Assistants’ styles and requirements
    -          Ability to appropriately handle confidential information
    -          Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    -          Excellent communication and organizational skills
    -          Excellent word processing skills
    -          Must be detail and client service oriented
    -          Strong time management and problem solving skills
    -          Excellent writing and proofreading skills
    -          Must be an enthusiastic, positive team player
    -          Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
     
    Hours:
    7:45am - 6:30pm, sometimes until 7pm
