The job market is slowly coming around and while the openings are not nearly as numerous as a few years ago we're seeing a steady increase in available positions.

We are cautiously optimism for the job market for the remaining year and are starting to hear projections for staff increases in 2011.  it's a perfect time to update your resume, brush up your interviewing skills and get your career on track.

    Supervisor’s Title:        Manager of HR Applications

     

    Position Summary:

     

    Under the direct supervision of the Manager of HR Applications, selected candidate will work directly with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance and Payroll managers, supervisors and users to support the HR and Payroll systems within the firm.  This individual will work with the MIS department staff to provide support for HR staff and other users on all the integration points between the Firm's core systems and HR applications.   The primary focus of this position will be with the support of PeopleSoft HR application and Payroll ADP application.  The individual will be responsible for development and delivery of training materials and courses.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    ·         Maintain and provide front line support for the existing PeopleSoft and ADP Payroll applications.

    ·         Consult and answer PeopleSoft and ADP reporting and inquiry related questions.

    ·         Assist in maintaining the HR and Payroll servers and applications.

    ·         Analyze and work with users on the impact of vendor software upgrades.

    ·         Assist in integration HR Applications with the firm’s other core applications.

    ·         Develop and enhance the HR and Payroll applications as directed by the Manager of HR Applications.  Development projects include reports, PeopleTools based customizations, and workflow.

    ·         Work on various projects as assigned by the Manager of HR Applications.

    ·         Develop and deliver training materials and courses for PeopleSoft based applications.


  • Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
     
    ·         2+ years experience with PeopleSoft HR Applications, PS Query, SQL and Crystal Reports.
    ·         2+ years experience with functional aspects of PeopleSoft HRMS modules including HR, Time and Labor, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Payroll Interface.
    ·         Familiarity with Windows XP, and Windows 2000/2003 Server in addition to an understanding of basic networking concepts.
    ·         PeopleSoft 8 experience required.
    ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with staff of varying technical expertise.
    ·         Self-motivated person with excellent time management skills.
    ·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate results.
    ·         Ability to troubleshoot complicated programs.
    ·         Relational or SQL database experience, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
    ·         Bachelors Degree in MIS or Business preferred.
    ·         Previous law firm experience a plus.
