The job market is slowly coming around and while the openings are not nearly as numerous as a few years ago we're seeing a steady increase in available positions.

We are cautiously optimism for the job market for the remaining year and are starting to hear projections for staff increases in 2011.  it's a perfect time to update your resume, brush up your interviewing skills and get your career on track.

  • Public Relations & Communications Coordinator

    The Public Relations and Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager of Public Relations and Communications with all aspects of the public relations and external communications functions. This individual will also coordinate speaking engagements and manage the PR aspects of various directory submissions.

    Job Responsibilities include assisting in writing and issuing press announcements; managing the posting of press-related items on the Firm’s website; analyzing editorial calendars for numerous media outlets to identify appropriate press opportunities, including monitoring and maintaining a master calendar; assisting in fielding press inquires; supporting press introductions for partners by preparing firm materials, providing background on reporters and making meeting arrangements; conducting reporter and publication research and updating targeted media lists; maintaining contact with various conference groups and assisting in the development and coordination of speaking engagements for the lawyers; managing the PR aspects of directory submissions (e.g. Chambers, Legal500, IFLR); researching publications, reporters and issues of interest for pitching purposes; performing other administrative duties as assigned.

     


  • Job Requirements include a BA or BS in Liberal Arts or business related field. 3 to 5 years of PR experience, law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple projects with challenging deadlines. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
